SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — Missouri State University officials say a naked man has exposed himself several times on the campus.
The university has received seven reports since early February of a man wearing only a ski mask entering the female floors of the Hammons House dormitory. Springfield police spokeswoman Lisa Cox says police believe the incidents are related.
The Springfield News-Leader reports the suspect is white male of thin to average build, between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-10 inches.
Police say in one case, the victim said the man entered her room and began removing her clothes as she slept. He also has reportedly run through a study room and at one point eluded officers who were chasing him.
The university is running an awareness campaign urging female residents to lock their doors.
