No. 19 Northwest defeats Lindenwood to advance to MIAA men’s title championship

Northwest2013riggertThe No. 19 ranked Northwest Missouri State men’s tennis team beat Lindenwood University, 5-0, on Saturday in the semifinal round of the MIAA Tournament at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield, Mo.

Northwest moves to 17-6 on the year while Lindenwood drops to 6-14.

Northwest Missouri State will play for their sixth straight MIAA Tournament title Sunday at noon in Springfield, Mo. The Bearcats will face Nebraska-Kearney, who defeated Southwest Baptist, 5-0, in the other semifinal.
