A motorist who fell asleep at the wheel suffered serious injuries in a crash early Tuesday morning in Mercer County.

Jacob Lamp’s pickup truck left US-136 highway, went down an embankment and into a creek bed at about 1am Tuesday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol report Lamp, 23, was transported to Wright Memorial Hospital after the crash east of Ravanna, Missouri.
