A St Joseph man who was granted probation for child molestation is now heading to prison.

A judge last week ruled that Austin Orr, 21, violated his probation.

A jury found Mr Orr guilty in June of last year on one Class-B felony count of child molestation. At sentencing, Judge Patrick Robb ordered the defendant to register as a sex offender, but allowed him to serve 100 days shock time followed by five years probation.

Prosecutors filed a motion to revoke that probation last month. During a hearing the defendant admitted he violated the conditions of his probation.

Judge Robb ordered Mr Orr to serve the original sentence of five years.
