An investigation continues into the cause of a house fire early Saturday morning that claimed the lives of four children, three siblings and their cousin, all under the age of seven.

Meanwhile, a “Go Fund Me” campaign started by the children’s grandmother had collected more than $3,500 from 66 people.

The Missouri State Fire Marshall’s Office was called in to investigate the cause of the fire.

Five other people inside the house, including two year old, were able to escape safely. The fire was reported in the 1300 block of Norton Street at about midnight Saturday morning. Fire crews said flames were visible from the second story when they arrived
