The St. Joseph Police Department has identified the woman who died after a domestic violence situation in St. Joseph.

Police responded to the 3400 block of Locust around 7:15 Friday morning in reference to a domestic violence investigation.

There they found 52-year-old Sandra D. Davis with serious injuries.

Sandra was transported into emergency surgery by EMS and later died as a result of her injuries.

54-year-old Martin G. Davis was later arrested in reference to the investigation.

Sgt. Roy Hoskins confirms that Martin was Sandra’s husband.

Martin has been charged with 2nd degree domestic violence and is being held without bond.  An arraignment is set for Tuesday.

An autopsy was preformed on the victim’s body but results have not yet been released to the public.

Hoskins said the investigation is still ongoing.
