A rollover crash in Nodaway County claimed the life of a Maryville woman.

The Missouri State Highway Pastrol says Kenneth Smith of Maryville lost control of his GMC Yukon along US-71 highway three miles northwest of Bolckow shortly before 8pm Tuesday night.

The vehicle left the highway, went airborne and overturned, striking an embankment. The vehicle then rolled over several more times.

Passenger Heather Smyser, 30, of Maryville, was killed.

Mr Smith suffered serious injuries and was transported to Mosaic Life Care. A nursing supervisor says Mr Smith was in critical condition Wednesday morning.
