The Buchanan County Sheriff’s Department is warning the public about another phone scam in the area.

The County sent out a Nixle alert Thursday morning telling the public to beware of calls from Jamaica referencing a Publisher’s Clearing House sweepstakes.

The County said it’s a scam and not to give out any information.

The calling area code is 876.
