Roger A. Castle
1942-2015
Roger A. Castle, 73, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015 at a local healthcare facility.
He was born April 22, 1942 in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Roger graduated from Elwood High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard as an airplane mechanic for over 30 years.
He enjoyed being outdoors, especially fishing. Roger said, he would like to be remembered with a fishing pole and a PBR can in his hand.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Robert Youngman; nephew, Jeff Castle; niece, Jennifer Castle; and his beloved dog, Maggie.
Survivors include: children, Jeanna Castle (Ken Lehna) and David Castle; grandchild, Lauren Castle; brother, Bob Castle (Janice); and friend, Linda Warner.
The family would like to thank Mosaic Hospice and Dee Shepherd for their care.

Linda Louise Ficklin
1939-2015
Linda Louise Ficklin 75, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, May 18, 2015 at Mosaic Life Care. She was born December 31, 1939 in Agency, MO, daughter of Adelaide and James Wright. She graduated from Faucett High School and She married Ronald Ficklin on June 17, 1961 in St. Joseph . She worked at Whitaker Cable, Sherwood Medical, NAMPAC industries. Linda was a most amazing woman, strong in her convictions and outspoken. Her greatest joy was with her grandkids, great grandkids, and family, she was a Christian. Linda was preceded in death by parents, two brothers, James W. Wright, and Larry Wright, two sisters, Mary Lee McClain, and Edna Hensley and a son, Scott Ficklin. Survivors include, husband, Ronald Ficklin of the home, daughter, Cheryl (Kelvin) Stith of St. Joseph, MO, two sons, James S. Ficklin of Kansas City, MO., and Michael Ficklin of Raytown, MO, five grandchildren: Amanda Symmonds, Scott Ficklin, Blair Ficklin, Matthew Ficklin, and Zachary Ficklin, great-grandchildren, Zyler, Adalyn, Anthony, and Jacob, and two sisters, Jeanette Reed, and Shirley Hay of St. Joseph, MO.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am, Friday, May 22, 2015 at Rupp Funeral Home, with Rev. Greg Smith officiating, The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the King City Cemetery, King City, MO. Susan Diane Weir, 64, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at her home in St. Joseph.

Charles “Charlie” G. Cotton
1924-2015
Charles “Charlie” G. Cotton, 91, passed away on May 17, 2015 at Mosaic Health Care in St. Joseph, MO surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Holt County on May 13, 1924 to George & Hazel (Anno) Cotton. He married Marjorie Lambright in 1947 in Andrew County and she preceded him in death in 1992. He married Mary Steele in 1993 and she survives of the home.
Charlie retired from St. Joseph Light & Power in 1984 where he worked as a District Service Man and Meterman. Charlie was raised in Holt County. He enjoyed woodworking and making furniture. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, skiing, and camping. Charlie was a Boy Scout Leader and contributed to his community in many ways.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters Betty Brychta of St. Joseph, and Jan (David) McClurg of St. Joseph; two sisters, Jeannie (Bob) Kennish of Columbia, and Gladys Reiman of Helena, MT; six grandchildren, Amy (Marty) Ruhnke, Jenny Brychta, Leah Cotton, Shannon (Brian) Miller, Erin (Logan) Walker, and Bryce McClurg, and six great grandchildren with one on the way, many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son Tom Cotton, brothers Wayne (Virginia) Cotton, Jay Cotton, sisters Ruby (Lester) Kurtz, Mary Alice (Osmer) Hornecker, and brother-in-law Charles Reiman.
Celebration of Life will be 10:00 am Friday, May 22, 2015 at Breit – Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah, MO. Public visitation and family receiving hours will be from 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Fillmore Cemetery in Fillmore, Missouri. Memorials are suggested to Agency United Methodist Church.
