Two individuals were taken to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after a crash in Andrew County.

78-year-old Donald Pankau of Pickering, Mo. and 77-year-old Janis Kline of Maryville were both transported by ambulance to Mosaic Life Care with moderate injuries according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Pankau were driving his 1994 Dodge Ram westbound on route B and Kline was driving her 2014 Cadillac northbound on US 71 around 1:11 p.m. about five miles west of Blockow.  MSHP reports that Pankau failed to yield to the other driver while crossing US 71.  His vehicle struck the front left of Kline’s vehicle.

It’s unknown if Pankau was wearing a seatbelt. However, Kline was reported to be wearing her seatbelt.
