Rosemary C. Anderson, 86, Maryville, Missouri passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015.
She was born September 12, 1928 to Clarence and Nelle Anderson in Indiannapolis, Indiana.
Dr. Anderson was a graduate of Ball State University and the University of Iowa. She was a teacher at the elementary, junior high, and college level for over 40 years.
Dr. Anderson was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clarence (Andy) Anderson and Thomas Anderson.
Survivors include eight nieces and nephews.

Grover W. Paslay
1975-2015
Grover W. Paslay 39, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015 in Saint Joseph, MO. He was born August 23, 1975 in St. Joseph, MO, son of Delores and Albert Paslay. He graduated from Benton high school class of 1993. He enjoyed fishing and working on cars. Grover was preceded in death by mother, Delores Paslay. He is survived by his father, Albert Paslay of the home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am, on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Rupp Funeral Home, with Rev. Greg Smith officiating, The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery. Carl J. Elardo, Jr.
1919 – 2015
Carl James Elardo, Jr, 96, St. Joseph, MO passed from this life on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 in his home. He was born in Krebs, OK on February 3, 1919 to Carl and Angela (Balsamo) Elardo.
Carl married Esther L. Gossett on November 15, 1946, in St. Joseph, MO and she survives of the home.
He had served during WWII in the Air Force Division of the Army. Carl loved people and talking to them. Carl enjoyed playing on the floor with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed art, music, stained glass, drawing, painting, yo-yo, top collecting and loved his sweets.
Survivors also include a son Larry (Dianne) Elardo, Groveland, MA; four daughters, Karen Bainter, St. Joseph, MO, Susan (Randy) Stuber, Polson, MT, Cathy McKim, Angela (John) Durr, both of St. Joseph, MO; a sister, Frances Schenk, TX; (10) grandchildren, Gracia, Anthony Gardner, Nathan, Neil, Nicholas Stuber, Megan Berg, Mallory McKim, Kyle, Nicola Elardo, and Abby Durr; and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Sam Elardo, John Elardo; two sisters, Mary Felt, and Helen Mears
Celebration of Life will be 10 AM Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Wyatt Park Christian Church, St. Joseph. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Public visitation and family receiving hours will be 5 to 7 PM Friday at the church, St. Joseph, MO. Arrangements provided by Gladden – Stamey Funeral Home, St. Joseph, MO.
Jerry A. Strong

Jerry A. Strong, 80, of St. Joseph, Missouri; passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at a local hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Jerry was born on April 25, 1935 in St. Joseph, Missouri, to the late Francis Edward and Agnes Mary (Wachter) Strong.
He was a lifelong St. Joseph resident, graduating from Lafayette High School, class of 1953 and attended St. Joseph Junior College.
Mr. Strong served his country in the Missouri National Guard 135th Signal Battalion.
Jerry was a pharmaceutical sales representative for Abbott Laboratories for over 25 years. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus #571, and Mariners. He was a member of the Missouri Pilots Association and the American Legion #359.
Jerry was an avid pilot, enjoyed attending board meetings with his friends, and was a constant figure at the YMCA. He enjoyed fly fishing for trout and always looked forward to fishing trips in Bennett Springs with his sons.
Jerry married Carol Roeder on June 5, 1954, and would have celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary in June. She survives him of the home.
Additional survivors include four sons, Jerry Michael (Terry), Jerry Kirby (Karen), Jerry Shawn (Jody), Jerry Robert (Rhonda); a daughter, Mary Cynthia Barker (Robin); twelve grandchildren, Brandon, Jason, Andrea, Kyle, Konor, Eric, Katie, Justin, Gracie, Trevor, Ashley and Danielle, and numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Francis Lee (Gloria); sister, Mary Owens and best friend, Harvey Johnson.
Mr. Strong was preceded in death by his infant son, Jerry Shane Strong.
Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM Saturday St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Mr. Strong will be cremated following the Mass. Inurnment Mt. Olivet Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be held after 1:00 PM Friday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidefanden Chapel. Rosary 6:00 PM Friday, with Family to Receive Friends 6:30PM to 8:30 PM Friday at our Chapel.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
