Our area dodged the worst of the severe weather Sunday.  But there were problems in Doniphan County.

Authorities with KDOT announced the closure of K-7 highway after an embankment collapsed onto the highway.

There were no injuries. KDOT said there where at least three other potential mudslide areas from the bluffs across the roadway pavement that were being monitored.

KDOT maintenance crews have completed the mudslide removal work from all the affected areas and have reopened K-7 to unrestricted traffic as of 10:45 a.m. Today, Tuesday, May 26.

K-7 was closed from White Cloud north to the Nebraska State Line.
