
A plea hearing has been scheduled for a St. Joseph man accused of shooting his ex wife and shooting and killing her boyfriend.
According to court officials, 36-year-old Daron Simpson has a plea hearing slated for June 12 at 12:30 p.m.
Simpson is charged with second degree murder and first degree assault in connection with the shooting death of 36-year-old Andrew Clary.
According to court documents, officials said Simpson drove a vehicle through a garage door of the home, then made his way to the bedroom where he allegedly shot Clary and Simpson’s ex-wife Amanda.
Amanda survived and had to undergo treatment for serious facial wounds.
