The carnival is back in town.

As he has for decades, Tom Evans is bringing some distractions and a change to the skyline in downtown St Joseph. Mr Evans is the owner of Evans United Shows based in Plattsburg.

His carnival features more than two dozen rides as well as games. And, as you might expect, you can also get a corn dog or funnel cakes if that’s your preference.

The carnival opens Wednesday night and continues through Sunday in the lot under I-229 along the Missouri River near Francis Street.
