The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in the St Joseph area has jumped about 15 cents in the last week, and is nearly thirty cents higher than a month ago. The average cost to fill a 15-gallon tank is now $39.80. That’s up from $37.57 last week and $35.40 a month ago.

According to AAA, the market average is $2.654. The national average is slightly more than $2.80 per gallon, more than 11 cents higher than a month ago, but about 86 cents cheaper than the aveage price a year ago at this time.

The average price across Missouri is $2.615, which is down four tenths of a cent on the day, but about eight cents more than a week ago and 17 cents more than the average price a month ago.

The average in Kansas Monday was $2.635, up a tenth of a cent on the day, about seven cents higher than a week ago, and 19 cents higher than a month ago.
