Connie Rose DeLong
1945-2015

Connie Rose DeLong 69, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Mosaic Life Care, Saint Joseph, MO. She was born July 9, 1945 in St. Joseph, MO, daughter of Hazel and Willie DeLong. She attended Benton high school, and was a beauty operator and had her own shop, she also worked at Cub Foods & Phoenix Scientific. She loved her family and grandchildren, and enjoyed bingo, lottery and casino games. She was a member of Lake Avenue Baptist Church. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Billy Joe Tyler, a brother, Reggie DeLong, and a sister, Margaret Stanford. Survivors include five children; Sandy (Curt) Acord of St. Joseph, MO, Tammy Sue (Gordon) Bennington of St. Joseph, MO., Timmy (Penny) Tyler of St. Joseph, MO, son, Bradley J. (Jacqueline) Tyler of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, and Candy (Terry) Kalamon of Saint Joseph, MO, two brothers, Billy Joe DeLong of St. Joseph, MO, and Jimmy DeLong of Stockton, CA, and a sister, Janice Hamilton of St. Joseph, MO.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Rupp Funeral Home, with Pastor Steve Stevenson officiating, The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Sugar Creek Cemetery . Memorials are requested to the Second Harvest Food Bank and YWCA Shelter for Abused Women. Mary Etta Wawrzyniak

Mary Etta Wawrzyniak 101, of Saint Joseph, MO passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Living Communities of Saint Joseph, MO. She was born December 30, 1913 in St. Joseph, MO, daughter of Henrietta and Henry Roberts. She was a Homemaker, who loved crocheting, sewing, cooking, making quilting, and afghans. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church and the St. James Altar Society. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Frank, parents, daughter in law, Maxine Wawrzyniak, five brothers: Charlie, John, Henry “Buck”, Jake, and Jess “Jinks” Wawrzyniak, five sisters, Emma McGuire, Nancy Grable, Susan Moser, Nellie Roberts, and Dollied Griffin. Survivors include daughter, Mary Sanger and husband John of Saint Joseph, MO, son, Robert Wawrzyniak of Maitland, MO, four grandchildren Teresa Brown, Leon Sanger, Nicky Jo Wawrzyniak, and Jerri Lynn Dearmont, 11 great, grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at 10:00 am at the St. James Catholic Church, Father Evan Harkins Celebrant. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm, Tuesday with the family will receiving friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Mount Olivet Cemetery.
