Several roads in Buchanan County have been closed due to flooding.

As of 8:40 a.m. Wednesday the following roads were closed:

Eastern District:

Mitchell Road

115th Road

Horn Road

Saxton/Easton Road

Kemmer Road

135th NE Road

123rd SE Road

112th SE Road

Rock Creek Road

Chestnut Street

Quarry Road

Western District
Old North Road (Between SW 60th & SW66th) down to one lane

Lower Dekalb Road

State Routes H & C continue to be closed.

Buchanan County Emergency Manager Bill Brinton reported the Platte River was at 26.37’ (moderate) and is near crest.  Brinton said the county will continue to monitor roadways.
