Sunday’s severe weather in southern Buchanan County left behind lawn divots as well as damaged vehicles and homes. We have not received any reports of injuries.

Large hail was reported in Dekalb, where residents reported stones the size of softballs. There were hail reports across Buchanan County, including Rushville, Lewis and Clark Village and Agency.

Severe weather on Sunday knocked out power briefly shortly after 1pm at Kansas City International Airport. The lights came back on at KCI within about an hour.
