Authorities are investigating cases of burglaries and thefts of property from storage units in the Maryville area.

According to Maryville Public Safety the investigation also includes storage units outside the city limits but within Nodaway County.

Both Maryville Public Safety and the Nodaway County Sheriff’s Department are encouraging renters to check their storage units.

Renters should check locks for damage, drilled keyholes, or locks on storage units that have been switched.

Individuals are asked to report any of the above to Maryville Public Safety or the Nodaway County Sheriff’s Department.
