This year’s K-Jo 105.5 Canned Film Festival is one for the history books. Officials with K-JO and the Second Harvest Community Food Bank tell us 11,141 kids took part, seeing free movies in return for food donations to Second Harvest.

Attendance peaked near the end of the popular promotion, as 1,038 people turned out on July 28 to watch “The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water” or the “Lego Movie.”

Michelle Fagerstone of Second Harvest tells us they collected 13,714 pounds of donated food!
