The United Way of Greater St. Joseph plans to host a training course on its new Volunteer Center website.
The training will be held Tuesday, August 11 at 8 a.m. at the United Way Office on 118 S. 5th Street.
“United Way is excited to roll out a new and improved version of the site and would like to invite all non-profit organizations to learn about this opportunity to reach the volunteers needed,” the agency said in a press release.
The United Way Volunteer Center is an initiative of United Way of Greater St. Joseph designed to: connect people to quality opportunities to serve; build opportunities for local volunteering; promote volunteering; and educate our community of the impact volunteering can have.
The agency said the Volunteer Center is not just a service for non-profit organizations, individuals interested in volunteering can use the new online database to find opportunities.
