A St. Joseph man suffered serious injuries over the weekend in Platte County after being thrown from his vehicle.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 35-year-old Jason Eagan was driving a 1998 Ford on I-29 near mile marker 25 around 10:25 p.m. Saturday when his vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and hit a ditch. Eagan was not wearing a safety belt and was ejected from the vehicle.

He was transported to the hospital for treatment of a serious injury.
