According to Capt. Jeff Wilson officers responded to the 1100 block of Sunset Drive in an attempt to arrest 31-year-old Bradley Stanaslaus on a felony warrant for probation and parole violation.

“He was inside the camper that goes in the back of the truck and said he wasn’t going to come out,” Wilson said.

Wilson said there was also an indication the suspect may have been in possession of a weapon so the Special Response Team was called in to assist.

“SRT talked him out and he was taken into custody without incident,” Wilson said.

The man was taken into custody just after 10:30 a.m. The standoff lasted a little less than an hour.

Police are searching the camper, as of 11:50 a.m. no weapon had been located.
