Four taken to hospital after crash in Cameron

Emergency  AccidentThree adults and an infant received medical treatment after a crash Monday in Cameron.

According to the Cameron Police Department officers responded to the intersection of Washington St. and Clay St. for an unknown-injury accident.

After arriving on scene they found a man trapped inside of a vehicle.

A vehicle driven by Felicia P. Martin was traveling southbound on Washington Street when it struck the rear end of a vehicle driven by Daniel D. Leatherman. Police said a passenger in Martin’s vehicle, identified as Gabriel Martin, had become trapped under the dash and was unable to get out of the vehicle.

Felicia Martin, Gabriel Martin, and Leatherman were taken by ambulance to Hedrick Medical Center for evaluation. An infant in Martin’s vehicle was transported via private vehicle to Hedrick Medical Center for evaluation. Leatherman was reported with a head injury while Gabriel Martin had reported an injury to his back. Felicia Martin reported an injury to her left arm.

Both vehicles were towed due to disabling damage.

Felicia Martin was issued tickets for following too closely resulting in an accident and failing to maintain financial responsibility.
