Road Work for Northwest Missouri, Aug. 31 – Sept. 6

JOSEPH, Mo.  – The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the Northwest Missouri region for the week of Aug. 31 – Sept. 6, from the Missouri Department of Transportation. Many projects will include lane closures, and delays can be expected. MoDOT reminds the public to buckle up, slow down, and drive with extreme caution through work zones.

Andrew County

  • Route F – CLOSED from County Road 257 to County Road 252; culvert replacement, Aug. 31, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Interstate 29 – Northbound from 1.5 miles south of Route O (Buchanan County) to Business Route 71; resurfacing project, Aug. 31 – Sept. 6, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Night work only. No work will occur Friday nights throughout the duration of this project.
  • Route J – CLOSED from County Road 100 to County Road 106; culvert replacement, Sept. 2, 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Atchison County

  • Route MM – Pothole patching, Aug. 31
  • Route N – Pothole patching, Sept. 1
  • Route EE – Pothole patching, Sept. 2
  • I-29 – At the Rock Creek Bridge; bridge deck replacement, Aug. 31 – Sept. 6. Traffic is head to head in the southbound lanes.

Buchanan County

  • I-229 – Bridge maintenance, Aug. 31 – Sept. 3
  • I-29 – Northbound from 1.5 miles south of Route O to Business Route 71 (Andrew County); resurfacing project, Aug. 31 – Sept. 6, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.Night work only. No work will occur Friday nights throughout the duration of this project.
  • U.S. Route 36 – At the Platte River Bridge; bridge deck replacement, Aug. 31 – Sept. 6. Traffic is head to head in the eastbound lanes with a 14-foot width restriction.

Caldwell County

  • Route B – Pothole patching, Aug. 31
  • Route 116 – Striping, Aug. 31 – Sept. 3
  • Route 116 – From Route 33 (Clinton County) to Route D; resurfacing project, Aug. 31 – Sept. 5. A pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone.

Carroll County

  • U.S. Route 65 – At the U.S. Route 24/Route 10 Bridge; bridge maintenance,Aug. 31 – Sept. 3
  • Route 10 – CLOSED at the ramp to northbound U.S. Route 65; bridge maintenance, Aug. 31 – Sept. 3.  The ramp will be closed around the clock through 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 3
  • Route D – From County Road 130 to County Road 140; drainage work,Aug. 31 – Sept. 3
  • Route 10 – Shoulder work, Aug. 31 – Sept. 4
  • Routes Z, U and WW – Sign operations, Aug. 31 – Sept. 4

Chariton County

  • Route O – From Route 5 to Route 129; pothole patching, Aug. 31 – Sept. 4
  • Route 129 – From Route P to U.S. Route 24; pothole patching, Aug. 31 – Sept. 4
  • Various routes – Mowing, Aug. 31 – Sept. 4

Clinton County

  • Route A – CLOSED from Witt Road to NE 352nd; culvert replacement, Aug. 31 – Sept. 1
  • Route 116 – From Route 33 to Route D (Caldwell County); resurfacing project, Aug. 31 – Sept. 5. A pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone.
  • Route N – From Route NN to Route 116; pothole patching, Sept. 1

DeKalb County

  • Route O – From one-quarter mile west of Route N to Sharp Road; drainage work, Sept. 1 – 2

Gentry County

  • Route E – CLOSED from Route AA to County Road 487; culvert replacement, Aug. 31, 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  • Routes E, H, M, V, AA and BB – Cutting brush, Aug. 31 – Sept. 4
  • Route H – CLOSED from Route V to County Road 522; culvert replacement, Sept. 1, 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Grundy County

  • Route 6 – From just east of the Muddy Creek Bridge in Trenton to Route 5 (Sullivan County); resurfacing project, Aug. 31 – Sept. 6, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.  The road will be narrowed in two-mile sections with a pilot car.  An 11-foot width restriction will be in place.
  • Route Z – CLOSED from 30th SE Ave. to 40th SE Ave.; culvert replacement, Aug. 31, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Route Y – Pothole patching, Aug. 31 – Sept. 4
  • Routes F, W and WW – Mowing, Aug. 31 – Sept. 4

Harrison County

  • Route 46 – From Route D to U.S. Route 69; pothole patching, Aug. 31
  • U.S. Route 136 – Striping, Aug. 31 – Sept. 3
  • I-35 – Pavement repairs, Aug. 31 – Sept. 4
  • U.S. Hwy 136 – At the I-35 overpass; bridge maintenance, Aug. 31 – Sept. 4, 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. (14-foot width restriction)

Holt County

  • U.S. Route 59 – CLOSED at the I-29 overpass at Exit 67 (South Oregon Exit); bridge deck replacement. Closed through November 2015. Only southbound I-29 motorists will be able to access U.S. Route 59 via Exit 67.
  • I-29 – Southbound at the Exit 75 off ramp; pavement repair, Aug. 31 – Sept. 1
  • Route C – From Route N to Route DD; pothole patching, Aug. 31 – Sept. 1
  • I-29 – Northbound at the 98.2 mile marker near Corning; pavement repair,Sept. 2 – 3 (14-foot width restriction)
