RUSHVILLE, Mo. – Route 116 in Buchanan County will close next week for routine maintenance.

The Missouri Department of Transportation said local maintenance crews will close Route 116 from Route HH at Rushville to Route HH at DeKalb between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. each day next week. The road will reopen each evening. Motorists will need to seek an alternate route during the hours of the closure.

From Monday, Sept. 28, through Friday, Oct. 2, crews from MoDOT will mill and pave sections of Route 116 between Rushville and DeKalb. When the road reopens each afternoon at 3 p.m., there may be sections of the pavement that are rough and motorists should use caution and watch for uneven portions of pavement.
