
For the first time in their history the men’s and women’s barbershop choruses in St. Joseph are joining together to host the Mutually Agreeable a Capella concert Sunday.
“Vocality Quartet from Sweden will be headlining the show as they prepare for the international competition in Las Vegas next week,” James Fisher, with Voices of America. “This is the first time that Voices of America and RiverSong, the men’s and the women’s barbershop choruses in St. Joe have jointly produced a show.”
Both choruses have been performing in St. Joseph since the 1950s.
“It’s the first time in the combined 120 year history that they’ve produced a show together,” said Fisher.
The concert will take place Sunday, Oct. 4 at 6 p.m. at the Restoration Church in downtown St. Joseph at 117 Francis St.
The concert will feature a Cappella choruses the Voices of America and RiverSong along with special international guests Vocality. Other featured guest performers will include loved BassLine quartet along with a newly formed quartet, Vox Populi.
