St Joseph police exercise a special kind of patience when their duties range from the serious to the seriously weird.

Dispatchers sent an officer to a downtown address early Monday after a man reported his female companion had cast a spell on him, making him forget things.

It’s certainly a call that officer won’t soon forget, unless the officer was similarly affected.  Details are sketchy, but that just adds to the mystery.

That call came in shortly before 5 a.m. at Eighth Street and Francis.

We have not heard of any resolution to the paranormal dispatch.
