According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol 44-year-old Clay Porter was driving a 1997 Ford Escort northbound on MO 13 around 9:45 a.m.  The Patrol said Porter’s vehicle drifted off the east side of the roadway causing him to over-correct and return to the roadway then skid across the road and off the west side. His vehicle hit a ditch then rolled over and returned to the roadway coming to rest in the middle of MO 13 facing northeast.  Porter was partially ejected in the process.

He was taken by ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center for treatment of serious injury.  He was not reported to be wearing a seat-belt.
