A 72-year-old woman from St Joseph escaped with minor injuries after the vehicle she was riding in Tuesday afternoon left a Harrison County highway and struck a tree.

The accident happened along US-136 highway east of Bethany.

The crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol indicates the driver, 73-year-old Glen Hirter of St Joseph was not hurt.

His passenger Evelyn Hirter was transported to Harrison County Community Hospital with minor injuries.
