Tootle “Bookie” Thompson 21, of Saint Joseph, Missouri passed away Monday October 5, 2015 at a Saint Joseph hospital. He was born January 9, 1994 in St. Joseph, Missouri, and graduated from the Helen Davis School. He was a Christian who loved 50″s and 60″s and happy type music. Bookie was preceded in death by two brothers, Raden and Alexander Thompson. He is survived by mother, Christy (Richard) Barry of St. Joseph, MO, father, Dale Thompson, and a sister, Mariah Trauernicht of St. Joseph, MO. A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Rupp Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm on Thursday at the Rupp Funeral Home. For those attending the service the family request that you something red which was Tootles favorite color. He will be cremated under the direction of the Rupp Funeral Home. Cyler Weston Matthews, born on September 18, 2015 in St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Friday, October 2, 2015.
In the short time he was with us he was loved by so many.
He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmothers, Mary Brown and Margaret Hinckley; and paternal great-grandmother, Frankie Bish.

Darrell Eugene Mattox 58, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, October 5, 2015 in St. Joseph, MO. He was born March 8, 1957 in St. Joseph, MO, son of Virginia and Curtis Mattox. He worked at Diversa Care Nursing home in the maintenance department. He enjoyed motorcycles, hot rods, and listening to oldies music.Darrell was preceded in death by wife, Kitty Mattox, parents, and a sister, Lori Mattox. Survivors include, two daughters, Tracy Mattox, Stacy Thomas, son, Andy Mattox (Peggy Hawkins) 6 grandchildren, three brothers, Russell, Steve, Clayton Mattox, seven sisters; Karen Eslinger, Barb Eslinger, Amy Portnier, Jill Simmons, Sandra Gray, Teresa Lawrence, and Eva Rivera. Rosemary (Baublits) DeVore
1919-2015
Rosemary (Baublits) DeVore, 96, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Saturday, October 3, 2015 at a local healthcare facility.
She was born September 7, 1919 in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Rosemary was a Benton High School graduate, class of 1936. Afterward she attended and graduated from Platte Gard Business College.
She married Harvey M. DeVore and he preceded her in death in 1989.
Mrs. DeVore worked for 39 years at Swift & Company as the secretary for the plant manager, retiring in 1976.
She was a member of the PYKA, SEMO and Swift Girls Clubs. She was also a longtime member of Huffman Memorial United Methodist church.
Rosemary enjoyed needlepoint and trips to Taco Bell.
She was a wonderfully independent woman with a keen sense of humor. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Kathryn (Elkins) Baublits; and sister, Betty L. Baublits.
Survivors include numerous cousins.

Brenda J. “BJ” Blackmon, 59, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Mosaic Life Care.
She was born March 13, 1956 in Maryville, Missouri.
She owned and operated Robidoux Realty. BJ was a member of the Ethics Realty Committee and the Chamber of Commerce. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family at Lake of the Ozarks. BJ also loved
antiquing, cooking and gardening.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Carmie and Helen (Balkovsky) Bailey.
Survivors include husband of 25 years, Jesse Blackmon; two children, Telly Jackson (Tommy Pollard) and Rocky Jackson; and three grandchildren, DeShawn Woodard, London Pollard and Myles Brant.

Betty J, Carnes, 84, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at her home.
She was born February 17, 1931 in South Sioux City, Nebraska.
She was a graduate of Lafayette High School Class of 1948.
Betty married Merle Carnes on November 11, 1950.
She was a member of Francis Street First United Methodist Church. The most important things to her were family and providing a home to them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Alice (Ash) Todd; husband of 43 years, Merle; and siblings, Margie Stephens, June Meade, Don Todd, Leroy Todd, Jr., Robert Todd and Dorothy Todd.
Survivors include children, Larry Carnes (Joyce), Smithville, Missouri and Linda Pioch (Jim), Urbandale, Iowa; five grandchildren, Jason Carnes (Krysten), Corrie Lowe (Jon), Kim Dampier (Bill), Amy Eddy (Brian) and Scott Pioch (Melissa); eight great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends.

John D. Dishon
1933-2015
John D. Dishon was born December 21, 1933 to Pearl Mae Lichliter and Byron Dishon in Troy, Kansas.
He moved to St. Joseph as a child and served in the Navy 1956–1957. John married Margot Brown in 1958. She preceded him in death in 2003. He moved to Kansas City 2004 and married Gaynel Sue Wayman on June 21, 2007.
He worked for the Highway Department in the 50’s as a surveyor, and for General Tire for several years before opening Dishon Tire in 1972. He operated it until 1998.
Active and well known in the tire industry, he served on the dealer counsel of Kelly Springfield Tire Company and Tire & Battery Corp. Board of Directors of the National Tire Dealers, president of Missouri Tire Dealers and on the Board of Directors of Tire Dealers for eight years.
John was also preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dorothy Beason, brothers, Paul and Edgar Dishon.
He is survived by wife; stepdaughters, Virginia Davis (Rick)and Alexandra Welky (David); brother, Bill Dishon; sisters-in-law, Vicki Cantu, Becki Moore, Roxi James (Bill), Lori Brown (Chris Manville); Juli Crenshaw (Steve); brother-in-law, David Brown (Pamela); brother-in-law, Jon Carper (Linda); nephew, Don Sherman; and long-time friends, Roger Wayman and Russell Adair.
The world has lost a good man.

Margie Jo VandeLinde 74, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Saturday October 3, 2015 at her home. She was born April 27, 1941 in Dallas County, Missouri daughter of Rubenia & Peter Wilkerson. She retired from AT&T as a security officer. She enjoyed; crafts, ceramics, painting, playing cards, and watching her TV shows. She was a member of the Trinity United Brethern Church. Margie was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Vandelinde, two sister, Mary Page, and Nora Lee Young, and her parents. She is survived by two sons, Kenny Vandelinde of Saint Joseph, MO, John (Pamela) Vandlinde of Shawnee Mission, KS, three daughters, Mary Kate Vandelinde, Malachi Vandelinde, and Tialeigh O’Bannion, seven grandchildren; Christopher, Stephen, Amber, Jacob, Nickole, Elissa, and Shannel, and seven great grandchildren; Weston, Presley, Nathaniel, Nicholas, Carson, Brennan, and Stevie, a brother, Bob Wilkerson, and four sisters, Avis Forrester, Phyllis Stewart, Geneva Rollins, and Beverly (Ralph) Taylor. She will be cremated under the direction of the Rupp Funeral Home. A memorial and celebration of her life will be held at a later date at the Trinity United Brethern Church.
