An accident on the field in game one of the American League Division Series Thursday night has made Adam Wallace a celebrity of sorts, at least on social media.

As a member of the grounds crew, Mr Wallace became the focus of concern, and much jocularity, when he was overtaken by that huge tarp being rolled onto the field for a rain delay.

The Lee’s Summit teenager says he was not injured when he got run over by the tarp. The Royals said Wallace was checked out by medical personnel.
