Funeral services have been arranged for a former St. Joseph City Councilman.
Mike Bozarth passed away Saturday at the age of 60 at Mosaic Life Care.
Bozarth previously served as City Councilman for the City of St. Joseph representing the South Side. He also owned and operated Bozarth Texaco and the St. Joseph Telegraph newspaper and served on service organization like the South St. Joseph Progressive Association.
According to his obituary, funeral services will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday Oct. 14 at Rupp Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Pattonsburg, Mo.
Preceding him in death are his parents, and a brother, Charles A. Bozarth. Survivors include, two brothers, Greg (Shan) Bozarth, and Doug (Jamie) Bozarth of Saint Joseph, MO, sister, Sandra (Rob) Falter of Westphalia, MO, two nephews; James and Jared Bozarth, three nieces; Heather Sandlin, Brandi Smith, and Yoshi Su, several great nieces and nephews, and his lifelong friend, Becky Darr.
