A traffic accident in Holt County Monday morning claimed the life of a 24-year-old St Joseph man.

According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Thomas Young lost control of his car along US-59 highway at about ten a.m. Monday. The vehicle left the highway about five miles southeast of Oregon, Missouri and rolled several times.

Mr Young was not wearing a safety belt.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.
