(UPDATE) Suspect arrested after stabbing

SJPD badge with flagSt Joseph Police say they’ve arrested the man sought in connection with a stabbing incident in the Midtown area Wednesday morning.

Detective Frank Till says the victim, a black male in his 30s, came into the Goetz Credit Union at 1905 Howard with serious injuries. The victim said the stabbing had occurred at his home nearby on 19th Street.  He was transported to Mosaic Life Care of what were described by police as serious injuries.

At about 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, less than two hours later, the suspect was arrested in the 2700 block of Faraon. Detective Till would only describe him as a white male in his 30s.
