
MARYVILLE, Mo. – Northwest Missouri State University will host its fall Career Day from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, in the Lamkin Activity Center, giving potential candidates the opportunity to interact with more than 100 employers offering full-time, summer and internship opportunities.
Additionally, Northwest’s Career Day will coincide with the Graduate Information Fair and the Education Expo. The Graduate Information Fair helps interested individuals learn more about graduate school opportunities at Northwest and other schools from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Education Expo is from 1 to 3 p.m. and is designed to connect qualified teacher applicants with prospective employers. New and alumni teacher candidates are encouraged to share their resumes, introduce themselves and discuss openings with attending school district representatives. Education Expo also gives Northwest undergraduate students a chance to network, learn more about the teaching profession and explore career paths.
The event is free and open to the public; all majors are welcome. Attending individuals should dress professionally.
More than 100 companies, organizations and schools are expected to attend the Career Day to network and discuss full-time work and internship opportunities. Representatives are visiting Northwest on behalf of AgriVision Equipment Group, American Family Insurance, Cerner, Edward Jones, Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, Gallup, Garmin International and Northwestern Mutual, among others.
