Mildred N. “Millie” Bartch, 96, of St. Joseph, MO passed away October 14th at Oakridge Nursing Home, Plattsburg, MO. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life was held at Word of Life Church in the Upper Room, October 19th.
Mildred was born November 7, 1918 in St. Joseph, MO. to William and Viola McDowell. She was the oldest daughter of ten children.
She married Floyd Oliver Bartch April 3, 1940. After 57 years of marriage, he preceded her in death March 1, 1997.
Mildred was a homemaker and mother of two children. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Floyd Owen Bartch, great-granddaughter, Rebecca Ann Bartch, brothers James McDowell, Ivan McDowell, Robert McDowell, sister Ellen Foreman.
She is survived by daughter Sherry Bartch, St. Joseph, MO and daughter-in-law Myrna Bartch, Kansas City, MO; 6 grandchildren, Robin (Mark) Houston, Melanie (Rob) Fields, Brian Bartch, Mark (Tammie) Wright, Chad Wright (Spencer Fretschel), David (Heidi) Hughes and 12 great grandchildren, brothers; Harold McDowell, Kansas City, MO, Raymond McDowell, Oklahoma City, OK, sisters; Billie Hamm, Carolyn Guinn, St. Joseph, MO and Doris Warren, Albany, MO. Helen Aalbers
1942-2015
Helen Aalbers, 72, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at a local healthcare facility.
She was born November 17, 1942 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Helen married Roger Aalbers on November 30, 1985. He preceded her in death in October 1991.
She attended Wyatt Park Christian Church and enjoyed reading her Bible and doing cross-stitch. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Blanche Nelson; brother, Vernon Nelson; and Evelyn Parrish.
Survivors include daughter, Jenny Miller (Ray), St. Joseph, Missouri; grandchildren, Kaitlynn and Raechel Miller; four nephews; and numerous cousins.

Clyde Richard Elder
1954-2015
Clyde Richard Elder, 61, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away October 15, 2015 at Kansas City Hospice Center.
Clyde was born January 1, 1954 in Carthage, Missouri to John William and Bette Jean (Ellis) Elder, Sr. who preceded him in death. Clyde was a graduate of Winfield, Kansas High School, Southwest Baptist College (now University), Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Luther Rice Seminary with a Doctor of Ministry degree.
On January 10, 1976 Clyde was united in marriage to his childhood sweetheart, Muriel Ann Houghton, who survives the home. To this union they were blessed with three children; daughter, Andrea (Dallas) Denison of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma; son, Nathaniel (Diane) Elder of Wentzville, Missouri; daughter, Jessica (Shaun) Agnew of St. Joseph; and four grandchildren, Ashton and Everly Elder, Jackson and Abigail Denison. All who survive him.
Clyde had served as the Director of Missions for the St. Joseph Baptist Association since 1996. He was a devoted member of McCarthy Baptist Church and served churches throughout Missouri and Kansas.
Clyde actively served the Missouri Baptist Convention as a consultant and member of numerous committees. One of his greatest honors was to serve as a trustee for Southwest Baptist University.
Other survivors include brothers, John (Cheryl) Elder, Jr. and Charles (Anne) Elder; sister, Jana Elder; uncles, Bill Elder and Bill Schellhorn; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Jonna Michell (Heath) Rehm, 46, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away unexpectedly Thursday, October 15, 2015.
She was born June 29, 1969 in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Jonna was a graduate from Lafayette High School, class of 1987. She was a licensed massage therapist and owner at Healing Harmony. She loved baseball and worked concession at the Mustang games and was a huge Royals fan. Jonna enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially her daughters. She was very involved with school functions, always lending a hand. She was a strong woman and had recently celebrated five years since her kidney transplant.
Jonna had many friends as people gravitated towards her caring and kind personality. She was an amazing woman, who was always positive and had a smile.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald S. Heath.
Survivors include daughters, Hanna Rose Rehm and Brittanie Danae Rehm; grandson, Kaevan Harrington; mother, Cathy (Carrel) Sontheimer and her husband Tom; sisters, Tracy Frye, and Jennifer Goin; brother, Benji Sontheimer; nieces, Kaylea Michelle Frye and Danyka Rose Sontheimer; nephews, Jaydn and Carson Goin; her beloved dog Sammy; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Born May 15, 1978 in St. Joseph, Missouri to William and Cynthia Lyon.
Survivors include his five children: Dominick Devers, DeShawn, Donivan, Jakayla, Kerya Lyon; his father, William (Sherry) Lyon; paternal grandmother, Iona Lyon; brother John Lyon; stepbrothers, Bradley Wilson and Bryan Gritts; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Josh was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia Macrander.

Leanna (Harr) Corbet
1924-2015
Leanna (Harr) Corbet, 91, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Mosaic Life Care.
She was born May 23, 1924 in Cosby, Missouri.
Leanna married Roger Corbet in 1959. He preceded her in death in 2011 after fifty-one years of marriage.
She graduated from Savannah High School, class of 1942 after which she attended Methodist Medical School of Nursing and received her license in 1946. Leanna practiced at the TBK Clinic for thirty years and later worked and retired from the State Hospital.
She enjoyed traveling, camping with her family and was a Royals fan. She also was a member of Cosby Zion Methodist Church.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Glenn Harr and Alvin Harr; and sister, Mable Kapp.
Survivors include children, Nancy Corbet and Brian Corbet (Tiffany); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Elmer G. Myers
1918-2015
Elmer G. Myers, 97, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015 at his residence.
He was born September 13, 1918 in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Elmer attended Neely Elementary and later graduated from Central High School, Class of 1936.
He served in North Africa during World War II with the Army Air Corps. After the war he started several businesses, Elmer Myers Specialized Auto Service, St. Joseph Flying at Rosecrans and later worked at Wire Rope as their Chief Pilot. He was a fixture at Ashland United Methodist Church, attending 8:00 A.M. Sunday services without fail. He loved everything to do with cars and raised Arabian Horses as a hobby.
Elmer was a member of the Charity Zaredatha Lodge No. 189, A.F. & A.M., 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and Moila Shrine.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William John “JW” Myers, Sr. and Ola (Whitmore) Myers; sisters, Ola Nicholson and Audrey Meyer; and former spouse, Mildred (Boyd) Myers.
Survivors include children, Gayle Myers (Tammy), St. Joseph, Missouri and Gary Myers (Sally), St. Joseph, Missouri; grandchildren, Brian Myers (Amy Heath), St. Joseph, Missouri, Victoria McPherson (Dustin), Topeka, Kansas, Sara Beth Myers (John Haubenreich), Nashville, Tennesse, Matthew Myers, Kansas City, Missouri, and Rachel Santon (Andrew), St. Louis, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn McPherson, Tyler McPherson, Torrin Myers, Abigail Haubenreich, and Thomas Haubenreich; sister, Beverly Daily; brother, William John “Bill” Myers, Jr. (Edna); and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Jacob E. “Jake” Rostock
1936-2015
Jacob E. “Jake” Rostock, 79, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Sunday, October 18, 2015 surrounded by family and friends.
Jake was born July 5, 1936 in Oregon, Missouri.
He graduated in 1954 from Forest City High in the top 10 of his class.
Jake proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. Following the war he joined the St. Joseph Police Department retiring as a Lieutenant October 13, 1995. He continued his career at the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Department, retiring, January 31, 2001. While with the police force he attended and graduated from Missouri Western with a degree in Criminal Justice. He also worked as security at Dillard’s.
He enjoyed traveling and nature, but most of all spending time with family.
Jake was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #359, Charter member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #3, member of the Marine Corp League and the 139th Air Guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mabel (Rhodes) Rostock; siblings, Ferdinand “Ferd” Rostock, Abraham “Linc” Rostock, John Rostock, Pauline Kirschner, Hazel Grimes, and Margaret Ebnet.
Survivors include his wife and best friend of 42 years, Marcia Rostock; children, Edward Dean Rostock (Linda), Linda Rostock (Mike Myers), Kristen Hovey (Jody), and Cheri Dill (Danny); seven grandchildren, Dustin, Denver, Amber, Autumn, Logan, Lane, and Jada; eight great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and extended family.
