William E. Friess
1926-2015

William E. Friess, 88, Inverness, Florida, passed away Friday, October 16, 2015 in Inverness, Florida.
He was born October 29, 1926 in St. Joseph, Missouri, son of Carl and Mable (Walling) Friess.
Mr. Friess was an Army Corp veteran and worked as a distribution supervisor for Swift & Co. He moved to Inverness from St. Charles, Illinois in 1989.
He was a member of Zeredatha Masonic Lodge, No. 189, Scottish Rite Valley of St. Joseph, Missouri, Moila Shrine Temple, The American Legion, St. Charles and the First Baptist Church of Inverness.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Cindy Jo DePauw.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Betty L. Freiss, Inverness; son, Michael Carl Friess (Connie), Gower, Missouri; daughter, Debra DeShon, Lincoln, Nebraska; seven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Betty Lee Sanger
1921-2015

20151021-153608_sangerbettyBetty Lee Sanger 94, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, left her earthly life on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at a local nursing home. She was born July 26, 1921 in St. Joseph, MO, daughter of Glen and Madge (Miller) German. Betty graduated from Central high school and in her youth was a member of the Rebekah’s and worked at Woolworth store downtown, and at both TG&Y stores retiring in 1970. She married Ralph Sanger on Feb 17, 1943 in the rectory of St. James Catholic Church. Preceding her in death are her parents, and a sister, Weltha Norris. Survivors include daughter, Glenda Patterson of Oklahoma City, OK, brother, Thomas (Joyce) German of Country Club, MO, grandsons, Douglas (Joni) Patterson, Wayne (Maribel) Patterson, and Roger (Stephanie) Patterson all of Oklahoma City, OK, eleven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services and interment will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday, at the Mount Olivet Cemetery. On Thursday the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a prayer service to be conducted at 7:00 PM, at the Rupp Funeral Home. Father Evan Harkins officiating.
