ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The Missouri Western women’s soccer team suffered a 1-0 loss on Sunday afternoon at Lindenwood.
The Lions were able to score the lone goal of the game when Autumn Ohlendorff earned her first score of the season. The goal came on a long pass by Miranda Huebner that was kicked in near the goal by Ohlendorff.
The Griffons were able to outshoot their opponent but could not find the back of the net. MWSU tallied nine shots while the Lions only recorded six. Sydney Andrews was the Griffons offensive threat as she produced three of the four team shots on goal while Layne Shepherd tallied the other one shot on goal.
Goalie Sarah Lyle recorded two saves for Missouri Western.
The Griffons will head north to Northwest Missouri State for their final regular season road game on Friday, October 25th at 2 p.m.
