The United Way is asking people to eat out to benefit the 2015 campaign and have a chance to meet a few local celebrities at the same time.

Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. 10% of purchases made at any St. Joseph McDonald’s location will go to the United Way of Greater St. Joseph.

Local media representatives as well as city and county officials and many more community members will be out volunteering at several locations throughout the day.  CLICK HERE to see the list.

The funds raised will help the agency in trying to reach its $3.1 million goal.  As of Sept. 24 $1.1 million had already been raised.  The agency plans to hold its next campaign report Oct. 31 at Missouri Western.

A victory dinner is slated for Nov. 5 from 6 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. at Western’s Fulkerson Center.
