They’ve changed the advisory sign on Frederick, and they’ve changed some of the stoplights too. Those flashing arrows are planned at four stoplights along Frederick, and were due by November 1, but Monday morning, at least one of them was active.
The new signals include the flashing yellow arrow for left turns, which indicate you should wait for traffic to clear and then proceed with caution.
They indicate the same traffic status a solid green globe would in a left turn lane. Experts say the flashing yellow arrows are safer because they’re better at getting your attention.
