The Northwest Missouri State University golf team finished second at the Northwest Oklahoma State Invitational on Monday.

Northwest shot a final round 347 for a two day total of 682 at the Meadowlake Golf Course in Enid, Okla.,

Southern Arkansas won the event with a total of 679 in a field that featured six teams and 40 total individuals.

Taylor Gardner finished in a tie for second with a total of 166, while Nikki McCurdy had back-to-back rounds of 85 to finish in fifth place.

Northwest had four players in the top nine and all five players in the top 17 of the tournament.

This was the final event of the fall season for the Bearcats. Northwest resumes play on Monday, March 14, 2016, at the Missouri Western MIAA Spring Tournament in St. Joseph, Mo.
