WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — Wal-Mart has announced plans to hire about 900 people for seasonal work in Kansas this holiday season.

The Wichita Eagle reports that the retailer has 89 stores in Kansas and more than 20,600 employees in the state.

Wal-Mart says in a release that salaries for seasonal workers start at at least $9 per hour.
