George H. Wood
1922-2015
George H. Wood, 93, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Mosaic Life Care.
He was born September 22, 1922 in Topeka, Kansas.
Mr. Wood served in the Field Artillery unit of the U.S. Army during WWII in the European Theater.
He was the owner, secretary and treasurer of Brown Transfer and Storage, Co.
George was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Benton Club, Phi Delta Theta Social Fraternity, Charity Zeredatha Lodge #189 A.F. and A.M., 32° Scottish Rite Mason, Moila Temple, St. Joseph Court #98, Royal Order of Jesters, Optimist Club and Elks, St. Joseph Lodge #40. He also was a tutor for Pass the Power, Former chairman of the Road to Recovery Drive for SCORE and the 2005 recipient of the Blunt Literacy Award.
On October 31, 2005 his wife, Helen Lee Hansen, preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his parents, Noel and Helen (Hereford) Wood; and brother, Noel V. Wood
Survivors include his two sons, George H. Wood (Susie), Laguna Beach, California and Milt Wood (Pat), Dothan, Alabama; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one niece and one nephew.

Kaitlin Jolene Wilson 19, of St. Joseph passed away Monday, November 2, 2015. She was born March 4, 1996 in St. Joseph, MO. She graduated from Lafayette High School. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church. Survivors include father, Kevin Wilson of Kansas City, MO, mother, Carol Wilson of St. Joseph, MO, brother, Brandon Wilson (Johnna Martin), three sisters, Nichole Kittrell (Ronald Lewis), Leslie Wilson, Mallorie Wilson.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 AM at the St. James Catholic Church. Fr. Jason Koch Celebrant. The family will receive friend from 6-8 PM Thursday, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm, Thursday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the King Hill Cemetery. Lily R. Foster, 88, Leavenworth, Kansas passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 at St. John Hospital in Leavenworth, Kansas.
She was born February 17, 1927 in Van Horn, Texas.
She had a big heart and helped out with various charities.
Lily was preceded in death by her parents, Austoberto and Isiadora (Martinez) Rodriguez; husband, John D. Foster; and siblings, Aus Jr and Maggie Cortez.
Survivors include daughter, Helen Mejia; grandchildren, Loretta Mejia, Yvette Mejia, Helene Anda, John F. Espinosa, Gabriel Espinosa, Eddie Espinosa and Matthew Espinosa; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Elisa Bonilla, Emilo Rodriguez and Rebecca Orosco; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lillian “Lil” Alberta Bundy
1926-2015
Lillian “Lil” Alberta Bundy, transitioned into eternal life on October 30, 2015, at the age of 89. She was born on March 11, 1926 in Jefferson City, Missouri to the union of Gladys Gurley and Orville Webb. She was married to Milton Bundy all of whom preceded her in death.
Lillian moved to St. Joseph in the 50’s. She was employed as a switchboard operator for the Air National Guard for many years. She was well known and respected by those she worked with and they soon became her second family. She crossed paths with many people whom she bonded with throughout the years.
Lillian accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. She decided to make her home in St. Joseph, Missouri where she became a member of Ebenezer-Grant AME Church.
Lillian had an amazing talent as a cook and spent tireless hours enjoying her talent as a caterer, with her wonderful dishes which included peach cobbler and carrot cake just to name a few. She created many delicious meals to perfection.
Lillian was always fun and young at heart. She always had an open door policy at her home and #511 became the spot.
Lillian did not have children of her own, but she raised, nurtured and loved unconditionally her niece, Denise Jefferson (Melton Henderson), Robert Russell, Jr (Natalie) and Jay Graves (Tamara). She leaves to mourn a host of nephews, nieces, family and friends, who all loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her sister, Louise Jefferson; and nephew, Robert Russell.
Her love extended beyond her biological family to include her support system consisting of June V. White, Saundra McFadden Weaver, Marvin Shahid, Cleota Johnson and Donna Hernandez.
Lillian’s life was a life well lived. May her soul rest in eternal peace.

Joseph “Joe” David McMillian
1939-2015
Joseph “Joe” David McMillian 76, of Dearborn, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015 Northcare Hospice, in North Kansas City, MO. He was born July 20, 1939 in Dearborn, MO, son of Ruby and Joseph McMillian. He graduated from Faucett High School and served in the Air National Guard. Joe was a truck driver for Seitz, and Byers trucking, he was a member of the Teamster local 460 and served as Secretary/Treasure and was elected President of the Union. He loved his coon hounds and coon hunting, being outside and spending time with his grandkids. He was a good story teller and enjoyed his friends at Farris Truck Stop. He was a master Mason, and member of the Scottish Rite, Moila Shrine and the Wallace Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a grandson Richard Webb. On October 19, 1963 Joe married Muriel Scott and she survives of the Home. Other survivors include two daughters, Pat (Jim) Corkins of Princeton, MO, and daughter, Debbie Riddle of Dearborn, MO, son, Rick Booten of St. Joseph, MO, 5 grandchildren; Chad & Brandon Riddle, Michael Webb, Diana Routon, Milton “Tinker” Corkins, three brothers, Everett McMillian of Rushville, MO, Doug (Vickie) McMillian of Faucett, MO, and Jim McMillian of Clinton, MO, two sisters, Sandra McMillian of St. Joseph, MO, and Emma Wood of Dearborn, MO.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am, on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Rupp Funeral Home, with Pastor Randy Wade officiating, The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Judy Cemetery, Wallace, Missouri.
