St Joseph fire inspectors say a structure fire Wednesday morning at 2nd Street and Rosine was of suspicious origin. Fire Inspector Steve Henrichson says the house at 114 Rosine was being remodeled, but there is evidence some third party may have entered the home and lit a fire to keep warm.

Henrichson says the owner had hoped to open the house for rent by next spring, but the fire caused $20,000 damage.

There were no injuries.

Mr Henrichson says he has talked with the maintenance man, and hopes to speak soon with the owner. The investigation continues.
