TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — A Garden City man was sentenced to more than six years in federal prison for having more than 16,000 child pornography images. James E. McGary, 43, was sentenced Monday to 6½ years in prison for possession of child pornography.

U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom says in October 2012 an investigator with the Ford County Sheriff’s Office found a computer sharing pornography on a file sharing network.

When investigators searched McGary’s home, they found a laptop containing about 16,000 images of child pornography.
