UPDATE: One person is in custody and a second person is being sought in connection with the death of a St. Joseph man.

Capt. Jeff Wilson with the St. Joseph Police Department said officers responded to a call of shots fired around 9 p.m. Monday to the 1500 block of Felix.  When officers arrived a 33-year-old St. Joseph man was found dead with trauma to his body.  A cause of death has not been released however, Wilson said the death is being investigated as suspicious. An autopsy is currently being preformed.

Wilson said a 58-year-old St. Joseph man has been taken into police custody and police are actively searching for a second person of interest in the case.

Police said they are still notifying the victim’s next of kin, therefore his name is not yet being released.  The investigation continues.
