Marvin Lee Te Winkle

Te Winkle, Marvin obit photo Marvin Lee Te Winkle, 55, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015.
He was born July 12, 1960 in Denver, Colorado.
He worked at Midwest Scrap Management. He loved fishing, playing horseshoes, watching the Broncos and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Carlene (Suitt) Te Winkle; infant daughter, Jennifer Jean; and infant sister, Jessica.
Survivors include wife, Kathy; father, Wesley Te Winkle; daughter, Amanda Flickinger; sisters, Leslie Griess, Shirley Stevenson and Kimberley Te Winkle; and brothers, Wayne and Jonathan Te Winkle and Dean Laine.

Laurence “Larry” W. Lucas, Jr.
1923-2015

Lucas, Laurence. obitphoto Laurence “Larry” W. Lucas, Jr., 92, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Mosaic Life Care.
He was born June 2, 1923 in St. Joseph, Missouri.
After graduating in 1941 from Central High School, he received a track scholarship to Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri. While there he also played basketball and was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. When the United States joined World War II, Larry enlisted and proudly served in the United States Navy. He received his naval training as well as a year of graduate school at Harvard University. While at Cambridge, Larry met the love of his life, Diane Chamberlaine, whom he later married on April 12, 1947 in Rye, New York.
After World War II, Larry joined the Garlichs Insurance Agency and became an independent insurance agent. He later purchased the business in 1966 and served his customers tenaciously until he retired in 1988.
He was a member of the St. Joseph Country Club and Kiwanis Club and served as president of both organizations. Larry was also a member of the YMCA for many years and served as its President. He served on the Salvation Army Board and volunteered for the Community Chest (now United Way). Larry was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and served on the vestry of the church for multiple terms.
Larry was an avid golfer and loved participating in many sporting activities with his children. He enjoyed woodworking and building projects for his children and grandchildren. He always had a smile and touched the lives of everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane; parents, Laurence and Dorothy (Reed) Lucas; brother, Stanley Reed Lucas; and great-grandson, Noah Lucas.
Survivors include sons, Greg Lucas (Judy), St. Joseph, Missouri, Jeff Lucas (Cherrie) and Scott Lucas (Mary), both of Kansas City; daughter, Susan Durbian (Frank), Overland Park, Kansas; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and sister, Dorothy “Dottie” Schisler, Kansas City, Missouri.
Farewell Services 10:00 A.M. Monday, Christ Episcopal Church. The family will gather with friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Sunday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Kim (Schneider) Lewis
1955-2015

Lewis, Kim obit photo Kim (Schneider) Lewis, 59, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Monday, December 21, 2015 at her residence.
She was born December 28, 1955 in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Kim graduated from Central High, Class of 1974. She managed several St. Joseph Pizza Huts and later worked for Food 4 Less in customer service.
Kim had the biggest heart you’d ever find and endless love for animals, especially her horses and dogs. Her favorite activity was horseback riding with her many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Schneider; Uncle, Verdes Schneider; Aunt, Barbara Ozenberger.
Survivors include mother, Della Schneider; brother, Al Schneider (Tammie); honorary sister, Carol White; three nephews, Jake Camp, Mitch Messner, Chris Schneider; cousins; uncle, James Ozenberger; and ex-husband, Howard Lewis, who remained a close friend. Due to her battle with cancer, she donated her body to science to help find a cure.
Celebration of Life will be January 3, 2016, 1:30 p.m. at Knights of Columbus. Care provided by Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Neoma Ruth Cook-Cogdill

She was born August 19, 1928 in St. Joseph, MO, daughter of Sylvia and Henry Coy. She married James “Jim” Cogdill, in September of 1991. She retired from Meade Products after 23 years of service. Mom was of a character that was strong, honest, and quite outspoken. She taught all of us the need of a good work ethic and how to rely on ourselves, but mostly she spoke to us of love and respect for all of our family members. She will be missed and remembered. She was a member of the Faith Valley Church of God. Neoma was preceded in death by 1st husband, Billy Cook, her parents, three brothers, Harold, Donald and Charles Coy, three sisters, Dorothy Walker, Nadine Brown, and Shirley Jensen. Survivors include, husband, Jim Cogdill of the home, nine children: Billie Cook, Gary (Cindy) Cook Ramona Cook-Joyce, Kathy Cook-Murphy, Charles (Debbie) Cook, Carla Cook-Gallagher, Darla Cook-Wertin husband Pat, Channon Cook-Gnat, Danette Cook-Peters & husband Don, eighteen, grandchildren, 42, great grandchildren, 7, great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Rupp Funeral Home, with Pastor Mark Smith officiating, The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Elsie “Nanny” Mae Felt
1929-2015

Elsie “Nanny” Mae Felt 86, of Saint Joseph, Missouri passed away Friday December 25, 2015 at a Saint Joseph health care center. She was born March 19, 1929 in St Joseph, Missouri daughter of Lena & Joseph Arnold. She attended Lafayette High School and was a homemaker. She enjoyed Gambling & Reading. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arthur Felt, three sisters, Maxine Schmitt, Marge Corwin, and Mary Anderson. She is survived by two sons, Bruce Felt and Eric Felt both of Saint Joseph, MO, a daughter, Pam (David) Gamble of Watertown, WI, daughter-in-law, Rhonda Felt, two sisters, Rosie Wilson of California, and Shirley Estes of St. Joseph, two granddaughters, Kimberley Bowers, and Amy Johnson, two grandsons, Matthew Felt, and Trevis Felt, six Great-Grand Children three Great-Great Grandchildren. Dale Dalbey

He was born December 22, 1936 in Clarksdale, MO, son of Dorothy and Ervin Dalbey. He married Roxanne on September 2, 1996 and she survives of the home. He worked at Norris & Sons, and Deffenbaugh Trash service as a disposal service technician, he also was a painter at the Hotel Roubidoux, and a truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, keeping a beautiful lawn at home, watching old westerns, and Sci-Fi movies. A special thanks to Crossroads Hospice Care and a very heartfelt loving thanks to his extra special 24 hour caregiver, Wanda Hayes daughter in law. He and was a member of the Agape Love Lighthouse Assembly Church. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, a wife Lottie Dalbey, three brothers, Bobby, Chuck, and Jack LeRoy Dalbey. Survivors include, wife, Roxanne Dalbey of the home, daughters, Dottie Tarantino of Kansas City, MO, and Marcy (Roger) Reital of St. Joseph, MO, sons Robert (Tricia) Mills of Tryon, NC, Russell Hayes, Mike (Wanda) Hayes, and Chris (KP) Hayes all of St. Joseph, 18, grandchildren, 23, great grandchildren, two sisters, Lynn (Bill) Bartrum of Roscoe, MO, and Anna Chaney of Stanberry, MO, sister in law, Virgie Dalbey of St. Joseph, MO, and his special 4 legged companion, Murphy.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Rupp Funeral Home, with Pastor Chuck Ellis officiating, The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday at the Rupp Funeral Home.
