
A Bethany, man has been sentenced on 35 counts for trying to steal and sell the bronze name plates off of gravestones at the Bethel Cemetery south of Pattonsburg.
46-year-old Leslie Harrison was charged earlier this year in Daviess County with 16 counts of theft and 16 counts of property damage plus three drug or paraphernalia counts. He was sentenced Wednesday to serve 14 years and six months on the charges with the six months to run concurrent and two 7 year sentences to run consecutive. He was also ordered to pay restitution of $1,600.
Harrison pleaded guilty to the charges earlier this month.
