(UPDATE) – Three people were taken to the hospital in St. Joseph Monday afternoon after a two vehicle crash.
Officer Brendan McGinnis with the St. Joseph Police Department said emergency crews responded to the area of 169 and Leonard Road around 1:10 p.m. for a two vehicle crash.
McGinnis said Deborah Sackman, 48 of St. Joseph was driving a Silver Chevy Impala and traveling south across 169, ran a red light and hit a Gray Chrysler 300 driven by Ian Mann, 28 of Gower traveling eastbound on 169.
Sackman and a 50-year-old Wisconsin man who was a passenger in her vehicle were taken by ambulance to Mosaic Life Care for treatment of minor injuries. Mann was also transported for minor injuries.
Sackman was issued a ticket for violation of signal causing crash.
Traffic was tied up in that area for around 45 minutes.
